Happy New Year & Lockdown 3.0

Happy new year!

I do sincerely hope that your Christmas and New Years celebrations, however muted this year, have allowed you to remain healthy and safe from in this terrible pandemic.

We had a low-key Christmas meeting at work (see image) which allowed us to share a drink and eat some food and discuss the years successes. This is the only way we can ensure that the treatment we provide for you continues to meet and exceed your expectations which is what we all endeavour to do. Your feedback in this process is vital to us improving the service we provide so please find time to drop us an email on admin@stpetersclinic.com or speak to any member of staff at your next visit. In a small practice like ours, changes can be made almost straight away.

2021 has started with some confusion already with Boris Johnson’s announcement on Monday 4th January 2021 with another national lockdown. It may be hard for you to keep up with what we are actually allowed to do. Thankfully all Medical and Dental appointments can carry on as planned. At St Peter’s Studio we will keep well read about what services we are able to provide and we will keep you informed every step of the way.

As you already know, we have taken several measures to keep you safe. The main things are extra ventilation with air continually forced through the surgeries and air purifiers. We do not often get a chance to talk about the different masks we are wearing to protect both you and us but please take a minute to question us about the Coronavirus protocols. It really makes us happy to talk about the new way of working at St Peter’s Studio Dental Clinic.

If you have a medical concern, please speak to the reception team, we are able to give you the first appointments of the day if this should help you to reassure you. We are also able to wear our full protective masks for even a check-up if you request this on your arrival or at the time of booking your appointment.

My main message to you all is preventative advice about diseases that affect the mouth are important in these times. To help prevent tooth decay please reduce the number of times you consume sugar to your mealtimes only. To prevent gum disease please take extra care when toothbrushing and cleaning in between your teeth and toothbrush at least twice a day. Smoking has a detrimental effect on your general health as well as making your gums unhealthy. Never has it been so important to attend for your regular dental appointments. Together we will strive to keeping you all with healthy mouths!

Please be reminded that out of normal surgery hours, the telephone does direct to my mobile and so we are always available to you. Please call if you have a problem on 01234 261881. Alternatively, please text 07516 065413 or 07740 121669.

Please keep well and if you are not able to come in, please keep us updated with what you have been doing. We are here not only to support your dental needs but to help you get through this pandemic. Please let us know if you need a chat or even if you need some groceries to be collected. I hope to see you all soon.

Kind regards
Hema Mistry
